Yohanes 6:169. Mengapa Yesus menyingkir ke gunung. Karena orang banyak yang telah disembuhkan mau menjadikan Dia sebagai Raja. Yesus tidak mencari kehormatan. Yesus tidak mencari popularitas. Yesus tidak mencari kedudukan. In adalah pelajaran yang bisa diambil.
Fokus orang hari-hari ini banyak yang berorientasi pada tiga hal tersebut. Banyak sekali anak-anak Tuhan menggunakan fasilitas yang Tuhan berikan bukan untuk mengejar kekekalan. Ada dua kekekalan dalam Alkitab yaitu mati kekal atau hidup kekal
Kematian merupakan keuntungan bagi orang yang dekat dengan Tuhan.
Yohanes 5:35 sebagai penikmat terang. Yohanes 6:25-26 Yesus hanya dijadikan pemberi makanan dan minuman. Kisah 1:6 Yesus hanya dijadikan pemenuh kebutuhan jasmani saja.

Yohanes 2:23-24 Tidak ada yang bisa diharapkan dari orang-orang yang mengiring Dia. Agar kita bisa menjadi orang-orang yang dipercaya oleh Tuhan, maka ada tiga hal yang perlu direalisasikan :
1. Yohanes 6:27 orientasi hidup kita harus pada pertumbuhan dan pendewasaan rohani (makanan yang tidak binasa)
2. Yohanes 6:39-40 Beritakan keselamatan supaya tidak ada yang hilang. Kita yang sudah menerima keselamatan memiliki tanggung jawab terhadap keselamatan orang lain.
3. Kita harus berani menjadi saksi Kristus. Dengan menjadi saksi Kristus maka kita harus bisa mengubah kharakter kita menjadi kharakter Kristus. Kita harus memilik kharakter.
